Our company was founded in 1996, by Pharmacist Keith Winslette. Keith had worked in the Rome area as a pharmacist for over 15 years for several companies before starting his own business. Even though Keith worked hard to care for his patients, he felt that the large chain pharmacy policies didn’t allow him to care for his patients the way he believed a pharmacist should. He knew he could offer better care and unique pharmaceutical services if given the opportunity. Thus, Winslette Pharmacy was born.
Winslette was joined by his son, Brett and daughter, Brooke as pharmacists in the business making Winslette Pharmacy a true family pharmacy operation. In 2008, the pharmacy moved across the road to its current location which allowed the pharmacy to add new services such as Prescription Compounding and Immunizations. Keith’s wife, Angela and daughter-in- law, Janessa added a gift shop inside the new location. The pharmacy celebrated 25 years of service to our community in 2021.
Meet Our Pharmacists
Keith Winslette, R. Ph.
Keith graduated from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in 1980. He has spent his entire career in Rome as a pharmacist in various positions in community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, and emergency medical services. Keith founded Winslette Pharmacy in 1996.
Brett Winslette, PharmD., R. Ph.
Brett graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in 2004 earning his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. He joined Winslette Pharmacy directly out of school and has been on staff since 2004 as a pharmacist.
Brooke Winslette Salmon, PharmD., R. Ph.
Brooke graduated Cum Laude from Mercer University School of Pharmacy in 2007 earning her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. She also joined Winslette Pharmacy directly out of school and has been a pharmacist on staff since 2007.
